Professor of Medicine: Essential Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institute or university by the Pakistan Medical Commission/Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
- Specialization in Medicine with either FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent, recognized by the PMDC/PMC in basic specialties.
- Total teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor not less than 8 years, or 9 years of experience as an Assistant Professor with at least 5 research papers published in standard medical journals during the tenure.
Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery: Meeting the Criteria
Qualifications:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the PMDC/PMC.
- Specialization in Orthopaedic Surgery with FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty.
Experience:
- Similar to Professor of Medicine, a 3-year teaching experience requirement applies, along with the requisite total teaching experience.
