Professor of Medicine: Essential Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institute or university by the Pakistan Medical Commission/Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
  • Specialization in Medicine with either FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent, recognized by the PMDC/PMC in basic specialties.
  • Total teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor not less than 8 years, or 9 years of experience as an Assistant Professor with at least 5 research papers published in standard medical journals during the tenure.

Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery: Meeting the Criteria

Qualifications:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the PMDC/PMC.
  • Specialization in Orthopaedic Surgery with FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty.

Experience:

  • Similar to Professor of Medicine, a 3-year teaching experience requirement applies, along with the requisite total teaching experience.

Professor of Thoracic Surgery: A Detailed Look

Qualifications:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical Commission/Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.
  • Specialization in Thoracic Surgery with FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty.

  • As with the previous positions, a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent is required.

Professor of Biochemistry: Necessary Credentials

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized by the PMDC/PMC.
  • Post-graduate qualifications such as D.Sc, Ph.D., M.Phil (Pak), or equivalents recognized by the PMDC/PMC.

Experience:

  • In addition to the academic qualifications, 3 years of teaching experience in the subject as Associate Professor or equivalent is required, along with a total teaching experience not less than 8 years.

Professor of Radiology: Meeting the Standards

Qualifications:

  • Similar to other positions, an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification is required.
  • Specialization in Radiology with FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, MD, or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty.

Experience:

  • Consistent with the other faculty positions, 3 years of teaching experience is mandatory, with publication requirements for Assistant/Associate Professors.

Associate Professor of Biochemistry: Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree (2nd Class) in Journalism, Mass Communication, Political Science, History, Urdu Literature, or English Literature from a recognized University.
  • Two years of experience in Journalism or Mass Communication, including work in reputable national or regional newspapers, news agencies, television networks, or government offices.

Experience:

  • Practical experience after the prescribed qualification will be considered, with a written test covering various subjects including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, and Basic Computer Studies.
